  • Beach users picking up rocks for their yards - best course of action is to go to the next meeting of the Parks Department (check their website)
  • Parks levy lid lift- raise cap on percent of taxes that can be raised.  Could affect maintenance budget (garbage pickup, poop bags, HoneyBucket, SCC gate access)
  • How much of the $150k is left for the off-leash parks bond?

City Council Votes: Pilot to Permanent

Shoreline City Council passed an ordinance making both Shoreview and Richmond Beach Off-Leash parks permanent. Public comment, both for and against, was heard and there was a motion to split the ordinance so that the parks would be voted on separately. In the end this motion was denied, and the Council passed the original ordinance making both parks permanent. To learn about the proceedings, please read the minutes or watch the video made available on the City of Shoreline website.
